I apologize for the quick turnaround, but we require as many RehabCare teammates as possible to engage in the following grassroots effort tomorrow, Friday, August 7, 2020. I try to use these requests very sparingly, but right now is a crucial time for the therapy profession. Many of you have probably heard that CMS published a proposed rule that would result in about a 9% cut in payment for therapy services. This is incredibly significant to RehabCare and will be detrimental to our attempts to improve quality, provide resources for our teams in the field and continue to grow our business. WE NEED YOU NOW!
Representative Bobby Rush (IL) has drafted a sign-on letter to Speaker Pelosi and Leader McCarthy requesting a delay in implementing the Part B 9% cuts that CMS recently included in the 2021 Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule. It is important that members of the House of Representatives hear from as many RehabCare representatives and therapists tomorrow before 3pm Eastern to add more support for our worthy cause.
The call to action from the National Association for the Support of Long term Care (NASL), of which RehabCare is a member. It will take less than 2 minutes to follow the NASL link and either send the letter as is, or you can choose to edit the letter to your Member of Congress to be more personal.
This initiative represents the first, in many, grassroots activities that RehabCare will engage in over the next several months to resolve the proposed Medicare Part B therapy cuts.
Should you have any questions about the effort or the proposed therapy cuts, please be sure to contact me or Ray Sierpina or Susan Feeney on our Government Relations team. I have copied the link below my signature and it is also in the body of the email from NASL.

On Sunday, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) celebrated its 30th anniversary. Signed into law in 1990 by President George H.W. Bush, the ADA affords civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities by promoting access to employment, schools, transportation, and public spaces.
