Sabrena McCarley, MBA-SL, OTR/L, CLIPP, RAC-CT earned her Bachelor of Science degree as well as her Master of Business Administration-Strategic Leadership degree from Dominican University of California. In 2015, she obtained her Certified Living in Place Certification and in 2016, she obtained her Resident Assessment Coordinator Certification. In 2013, she obtained her CarFit Instructor Certification and in 2015, she obtained her Certified Living in Place Certification (CLIPP) and obtained her Resident Assessment Coordinator Certification (RAC-CT) in 2016.
McCarley has worked as a rehab director, multi-site manager and director of clinical services and has acted as an AOTA CE administrator. She has presented on a variety of clinical and regulatory topics at different state, national and international conferences that have included AOTA, OTAC, CAOT, NOTA, NARA, NKBA and CAHF.
In May 2017, she was appointed to the CMS MACRA Episode-Based Cost Measures –Neuropsychiatric Disease Management Clinical Subcommittee. She is actively involved with AOTA and is a member of the Living in Place Medical Advisory Panel. Additionally, she is actively involved in leadership with OTAC as Chair for Advocacy and Government Affairs and is Chair of the Nominations and Awards Committee for NARA. In 2015, McCarley received the Luella Grangaard Political Action Award from OTAC and in 2017, McCarley received the Vision Award from OTAC.
Fun Facts about Sabrena: Sabrena is the proud owner of a 9 foot inflatable pink flamingo named Filamina. She loves glamping and traveling with family and friends. Sabrena is passionate about advocacy and loves flat faced dogs as she owns a French Bulldog and a Pug. Sabrena is known by family and friends as the hostess as she and her husband enjoy hosting events at their house that range from small intimate dinner parties to large holiday parties.
