‘Tis the season to be jolly, but sometimes we focus on the wrong things making the holidays stressful. Add mindful practices your to-do list to keep the season less stressful and filled with more joy! 🎄🎉1. It’s important to acknowledge things may not go as planned, and that’s okay. Recognize that imperfection is healthy and normal. 2. You cannot change how others act during the stressful season, but you can change your response to situations. If things get tense, take a few deep breaths before responding. 3. It’s important to still take time for yourself when you give so much to others during the season. One way to do this is by finding a quiet place for a few minutes and focus on yourself, things you’re thankful for, and the moment. 4. With news, social media, and so much more, it’s important to spend time in the present and not stress about what is online. 5. Take time to breath when you feel overwhelmed or stress to change how you interact with a situation. 6. We sometimes get caught up in making things perfect, however by staying mindful we can appreciate the people, things, and memories that make the holidays matter. #mindfulness #holidayseason #kindredhealthcare #kindredhospital #mindfultips ...
